Hope Center Now Open
After being closed for the repacement of the sprinkler system, the City of Sweet Home and the fire marshall added other conditions for Hope Center to reopen. After considerable effort and expense, we have now received a conditional permit and are taking in new residents. Pray for wisdom for the staff as they chose the women and children they are accepting into the Hope Center. See the news item in the New Era here.

A New Paint Job
Talk about giving a building a facelift! Mark Steinhebel and his crew (shown above with volunteer Keith Murray) of Halcyon Painting painted the entire exterior of the Hope Center. There was a lot of scrapping and some awkward spots to get at, but these guys did a great job. The second part of that blessing is that almost all of the paint was donated by Sherwin Williams.

Our Next Garage Sale
It’s time to raise a bit of money to pay for utilities, etc. Garage sales are a ton of work, but an excellent way to raise funds. The next garage sale will be a furniture sale that we hope to hold in January. You can donate decent furniture to this sale. Call the Hope Center office at 367-HOPE (4673) to arrange to bring items to the center.
