"The Word calls us to be servants. If, through that service, we can see lives change-- such is the greater joy-- this is why I serve a HOPE."

Debbie David
"Being a servant is one of my gifts. I love to help people and Hope Center is a great place to serve and build new relationships with new Christians in order to glorify God and show His mercy."

Jeani West
"I love to cook and I get to share my passion in a practical way by preparing dinner for the staff and residents on Tuesdays. I also volunteer answering phones and doors."

Linda Jones "Being retired, volunteering at Hope Center gives me a way to get out and interact with others. I feel God is working here and He has a purpose for my being here. I have a blessed life and this is one way I can pay it forward, by helping anyone I ac. The joy of the fellowship with the ladies that live here and with the other volunteers is very rewarding."

"It is a joy and delight to volunteer at the Hope Center and to help out in any way possible. What a blessing to become acquainted with the ladies and their children who come to stay at Hope. And to witness the gospel of God's love working in their lives. Jesus is the center of Hope Center."

"I very much enjoy coming to Hope Center every week. I've been a volunteer here for a lot of years now, and it just gets better -- so much so that I mark my calendar for Tuesdays a year in advance. It's my time here.

Over the years I have met and talked and shared experiences with a lot of women. Many have come here with their lives and hopes for their future smashed. Especially sad are the women with young children, since their lives have also been very disrupted.

Whether their stay here is short or extended, I have seen remarkable changes in lives. This, I am convinced is due to the positive attitudes and Christian lives lived by the staff. Their faith in and reliance on God is catching! And the women may find their first needs met physically and emotionally, perhaps; but the most significant and enduring change is when they find their spiritual needs met. So, why do I do this? Well, I find myself changed as I witness the spiritual growth among the women who have come here as a last resort, only to realize new beginnings in faith. My own faith is strengthened by the fellowship and sharing -- where else would I be? Hope is here, every week."
