Being part of the staff at Hope Center has its challenges and rewards. It's like being part of a big family; sometimes the family is joyful and loving and sometimes there are differences that must be resolved. Lynn Wiens and I work together to direct and counsel the "family" of residents. We're all growing together in grace towards one another as we do life together. God showers his blessings on this place every day.

There are many different positions of service at Hope. Nancy Robeck and I are overseers, and that position of leadership means being part of a wide variety of things that need to be done. Since we are 100% volunteer, it means that we have to be willing to lead by example. Our day-to-day tasks range from maintenance and yard work to mentoring people who are making life-changing decisions to being Bible study leaders to coordinating volunteers to interviewing potential residents...we've been part of it all. God is often seen at work in the simple but essential things that everyday life is made of. I have been enriched by the experience.

Hope Center has been my home for three years. I am also a staff member. I try to help the other girls with guidance/counsel or just to talk with. The best thing I have received from living at Hope Center is the love and grace from Jesus Christ.
